Fort Simpson’s Papal Site Makes Debut on Timber Kings April 16

Fans of the hit show Timber Kings may see some familiar faces and locations in the show’s “Reach for the Sky” episode that premieres Sunday, April 16 at 8:00pm on HGTV. This week’s show will document the work of the renowned Timber King log-smiths who constructed a 50-foot-tall log teepee at the iconic Papal Site in Fort Simpson successfully claiming the title of the world’s largest wooden teepee.

Mining Incentive Program – New Funding Details and Deadline!

The deadline to apply for MIP has been extended to April 29, 2017.

New funding levels are now available under the Mining Incentive Program (MIP) following the recent program budget increase from $400,000 to $1 million. Prospectors can now apply for $25,000 (up from $15,000) and exploration companies can apply for $200,000 (up from $100,000), up to 50% of eligible expenses.
