The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) has released the first Performance and Measures Report for the 2013 NWT Economic Opportunities Strategy. It demonstrates how the NWT economy has benefitted from public investments made in support of the Strategy’s goals and objectives.

The best and brightest walked the red carpet at last week's NWT Film Gala, including Mikey McBryan, Kirstin Carthew, Jen Walden, Leela Gilday, and PJ Marcellino, to name a few. As the lights dimmed and footage flashed across the big screen, gala guests got the first glimpse of the new NWT Film brand. For NWT Film Intern, Alinar Dapilos, it was a bittersweet moment. He was across the Atlantic Ocean when the logo he had spent months helping to finess, made its public debut.
Two new campgrounds are taking shape on Tulít’a’s picturesque shore line, thanks to the Department of Industry Tourism and Investment’s Community Tourism Infrastructure Contribution Program. Mackenzie Park is the first of the two to be completed.
Two of the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment’s tourism funding programs are now accepting applications. Tourism Product Diversification and Marketing Program and Community Tourism Infrastructure Contribution are accepting applications from October 30 – December 15, 2017.

The Northwest Territories has solidified its position as an attractive locale for global mining and exploration companies looking for stable resource investments. The World Risk Report, published by the Mining Journal, ranks the NWT fifth overall (out of 85) using their Investment Risk Index — a measurement encompassing a both qualitative and quantitative data from global stakeholders in mining and exploration.
