From November 3 to 9, 2019, Canada will be celebrating National Francophone Immigration Week, an initiative of the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne (FCFA) du Canada. To mark the occasion, the Conseil de développement économique des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (CDÉTNO) and the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) are honouring five Francophone immigrants who chose the Northwest Territories as their new home.
The Northwest Territories is home to a growing tourism industry that requires a skilled and dedicated workforce and growing and investing in a sustainable, professional, skilled and trained NWT tourism workforce is a key component of the GNWT’s Tourism 2020 strategy.
