Film makers from Canada and beyond are getting the chance to meet the now-famous Rock Creature from the motion picture Elijah and the Rock Creature.  He will be making an appearance this week at the Whistler International Film Festival to promote the film.

It was a De Beers-sponsored luncheon for the young female scientists of tomorrow. The speakers were selected to tell their own stories and encourage their guests to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs.

Among the invited role models was One of Our Own: Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI)’s Assistant Deputy Minister for Minerals and Petroleum Pamela Strand.

On October 25th, The Town of Inuvik hosted 18 People From the Beaufort Delta region for a social media workshop that focused on tourism.
