The Artist Travel and Touring Fund helps NWT artists travel to promote, share or advance their artistic practice through performances, exhibitions, showcases, markets and other professional opportunities.
This fund is for artists who have developed their craft to a level where they are ready to engage broader audiences and pursue opportunities beyond their home community or the NWT.
Supported activities include but are not limited to:
The Arts Operating Fund provides financial and developmental support to arts organizations that operate year-round in the NWT. Eligible applicants can receive between $20,000 and $200,000 per year.
This funding supports:
The Large Arts Project Fund provides $15,000 to $100,000 in funding for NWT arts organizations to carry out large-scale arts activities.
This funding supports the costs of delivering a large project -- paying coordinators, northern artist fees, venue and equipment rentals, materials and supplies -- in the following disciplines:
The Medium Arts Project Grant provides $5,001 to $15,000 in funding for medium-scale arts projects and events.

The Small Arts Project Grant provides $500 to $5,000 in funding for small-scale arts projects to emerging and mid-career artists, craftspeople, groups and organizations.

The Artist to Market Program (AMP) works with national and international partners to create opportunities for NWT artists to showcase their talents and sell their work to new audiences.

Four Indigenous artists from the NWT had the opportunity last week to attend a national conference to promote the Proudly Indigenous Crafts and Designs (PIC&D) brand, thanks to support from ITI’s NWT Arts Program and the Seals and Sealing Network (SSN) — a subcommittee of the Fur Institute of Canada.
ITI has developed a new on-line educational series to help NWT crafters and artists improve how they price and sell their artwork.
