Arts Business Support Fund

Overview

The Arts Business Support Fund provides up to $10,000 for the start-up or growth of arts-related business activities in the NWT. This funding is for professional artists, individual entrepreneurs or small businesses that provide (or want to provide) arts-related services or products.

 

This fund supports the following disciplines:

Artist Travel and Touring Fund

Overview

The Artist Travel and Touring Fund helps NWT artists travel to promote, share or advance their artistic practice through performances, exhibitions, showcases, markets and other professional opportunities.


This fund is for artists who have developed their craft to a level where they are ready to engage broader audiences and pursue opportunities beyond their home community or the NWT.

This fund supports the following disciplines:

Large Arts Project Fund

Overview

The Large Arts Project Fund provides $15,000 to $100,000 in funding for NWT arts organizations to carry out large-scale arts activities.


This funding supports the costs of delivering a large project -- paying coordinators, northern artist fees, venue and equipment rentals, materials and supplies -- in the following disciplines:

Small Arts Project Grant

Overview

The Small Arts Project Grant provides $500 to $5,000 in funding for small-scale arts projects to emerging and mid-career artists, craftspeople, groups and organizations.
This grant supports a wide range of arts activities, including creation, production, presentation, exhibition, training and artistic development in the following disciplines:

NWT Arts Program

What is it?

The NWT Arts Program promotes arts and fine crafts to local, national and international markets. Program registration is free to all NWT artists including those in traditional and contemporary visual arts and fine crafts, performing arts, literary arts and film/new media.
